The Prostitution of Meritocracy

The Prostitution of Authority
The Prostitution of Duplicity
Prostitution of Philosophy
It seems that this series is distinguised by the amount of work that goes into creating the Prostitution effect. Some serious treats in store for you with the Prostitution of Philosophy, also from August. In this recording you will hear Screwtape [au], Tom Furgas [oh] , Witcyst [nz], Gintas K [lt] and Undecisive Gods [au].
Prostitution of Notoriety
Prostitution of Elasticity
Prostitution of Ambiguity
Prostitution of Complicity
A few weeks later when I needed to get the aforementioned samples off my dr sample I used them one last time in conjuction with samples I made using my cell phone at the show to create the lovely and shifty Prostitution of Complicity.Sounds from V. [dc], Cornucopia [pr], Ultramilkmaids [fr] and Zanstones [ky].
The Prostitution of Subjectivity
Way back in March 2002 five home recording friends of mine descended into Louisville as part of a tour by V. , Cornucopia and the Ultramilkmaids. As payment of housing them I extracted recordings on my 8 track. The same day they left I added samples I made from their show the previous evening and the next afternoon I remixed the Prostitution of Subjectivity. It's a marvelous droning, shifting, space trip.
The Prostitution of Perplexity
The Prostitution of Perplexity is a curious tape that is occasionally flawed by bad levels but none the less includes some strange combinations of people to recommend it. It includes the peculiar and cryptically titled Eucalyptus for Isabard. This tape was originally slated for release by Shinichi Igari's Mental Screen label in Japan.Contributors to this release include: The Swimming Behavior of the Human Infant [de], Barry Edgar Pilcher [uk], Shmuzorft [nl], Cheryl Sobas [ny], Rudi "King Cobra" Tuscher [ch], Katharsis [ca], Ken Clinger [ca], No Unauthorized [fr] and F:A.R. [it].
The Prostitution of Anxiety > Why Lie?
The Prositution of Absurdity
The first two PoA releases are fifteen minute works from 1985. They are funny and off-kilter experiments which becomed the halmark of this series. The original cassette was mailed sealed up inside a coathanger - sent without a mailing envelope... a real prostitution of absurdity! The music on the tape was recorded up at Cause and Effect in Indianapolis with vocals by Eric Therier, a Belgian who was visiting Hal McGee and Debbie Jaffee at the time. These are droll songs in both French and English and includes the hit number It's a Free World. Carrie Penning was a friend from Drake University.
